PPMS

For Core Users:

Scheduling and billing for most Research Cores at HMS are provided via the HMS-PPMS cores management system. To request access to PPMS, contact the relevant core director or core staff member from the core that you would like access to. 

Non-Harvard Users of HMS research cores who don’t already have Harvard University IDs (HUID) must register as an External Core Customer (ECC) Harvard Sponsored Role (HSR) before getting access to PPMS.  More information about ECC HSRs can be found at the HMS HSR website. Please contact the core director or core staff for HSR sponsorship.

PPMS Announcements and Resources: You can find a list of new features by clicking the Help tab in your PPMS administrator’s toolbar in PPMS, and select ‘Announcements – New features, fixes, and other important announcements’ to see articles and webinars that were released by Stratocore about new features.

HMS-PPMS FAQ

Q: How do I reset my HMS ID password so that I can login to PPMS?
A: If you need to change or reset your password you can visit this link. DUO two-step authentication must be installed on your phone. Please click here to set up two-step authentication using your mobile device.
 
Q: How do I update my PPMS user information if I have switched lab groups or institutions?
A: Contact the relevant core director and/or PPMSAdmin@hms.harvard.edu and let them know of the group switch. They will be able to modify your user mapping.
 
Q: What do I do if I am unable to activate my HMS ID?
A: If you are having a difficult time activating your HMS ID, it could be an indication that your sponsorship as an HSR has expired. In order for HMS IT to activate your HMS ID, they need to confirm that your status as a sponsored HSR is in good standing. In most cases, the core director for the facility you are requesting access to should be your HSR Sponsor and HMS ID Sponsor.
