#  Information for HMS Core Directors and Staff 

 



###  **For External Core Customers visiting from institutions outside of the US**

- The Core Director hosting the international core customer should contact [International\_Collaborations@hms.harvard.edu](mailto:International_Collaborations@hms.harvard.edu) to confirm that the visiting individual meets Harvard criteria relating to export control compliance for work in the core. This step can be done in parallel with setting up a Harvard Sponsored Role (HSR) for the customer.
- **Questions to answer in the email to the International Collaborations Group:**
    
    
    - #####  What will be sent (State what the material is and describe it at an elementary level—this can be electronic information or research materials):
    - #####  Will the material or research be used by or for the government or military?:
    - #####  Is this associated with a sponsored award at HMS? If so, please provide the fund number:
    - #####  Is this associated with an HMS collaboration?:
    - #####  Is it pathogenic?
    - #####  Does it contain elements of a human or animal pathogen or toxin?
    - #####  Is it a genetically modified organism? If yes, does it represent a significant hazard or cause harm to humans, plants, or animals?

    - #####  Planned use for the material:
